How do you know if a composite 2- piece bat baseball bat is dead?
I have a DeMarini CF3 (2008 model) -8, senior league model, and i’ve had it less than a year (I bought it August 2009, right now its June 2010). Lately, it’s been making odd noises when I hit it on the sweet spot. And I tapped the end of the handle on the ground and it sounds a little different than before. How can I tell if my bat is actually dead? Thanks.
Go onto grass or dirt and hit the knob against the ground. If you can feel a vibration through the bat there will be at least some pop left in it.
