I think the players play for the passion but they are also concerned with the rest of theeir life so the money has to be a factor when you get to free agency. You do not get to that level with having a high level ofpassion for the game, your talent will only take you as far as your passion allows you to go, that is one of the main reasons why I flamed out at AAA, I did not have the drive and passion of the other plyers that did make it to the majors, to over come adversity…it takes a lot of drive and psasion!
