How do i break in my new baseball glove??? Besides baking it?
Its rawlings infield.

I know this is going to sound crazy to you… but my dad got this straight from Maury Wills of the Los Angeles Dodgers and that this is what the professionals at that time did to break in a baseball glove.
-1st Soak in warm water (drench it) it’ll be heavy.
-2nd Get a softball or a big orange and put it in the pocket of the glove.
-3rd Get some rope and tie it around the glove tight (with the ball or orange or whatever you found about that size still inside).
-4th Put the glove in the furnace closet or water heater closet (which ever stays alittle warmer) this will keep mildew from developing.
-5th Remove after about a week or when the glove feels dry (or close to dry) and not really heavy. Use the glove alittle to loosen it.
-6th When the glove feels pretty dry, oil it.
I know this sounds weird, but IT WORKS! I’ve done it to ALL my gloves and my son’s gloves. It came straight from the pros back when gloves weren’t a so cheap and players didn’t make as much as they do now. So they valued their gloves alittle more than the pros today.
