Need to break in a baseball glove, and pretty quickly!?
I’ve got myself a baseball glove (12-inch infielder/pitcher glove) with a weave-patterned pocket. I need help with how to break it in. Now, I understand that the glove needs to have the leather smoothed out and broke in and the pocket has to be formed into some time of a web. Now, can you help with this dire matter? I need very successful suggestions about how to break in my glove.
Just play with it the entire time. Constantly open and close the glove hundreds of times throughout the day and night. Eventually you will break it in. There are also some glove oils/treatments that you can pick up at your neighborhood sporting goods store to help make the leather more pliable. Lastly when you sleep, put a ball in the glove, wrap the glove closed very very tightly around the ball, and then use rubber bands or a belt to hold it in place. Then place it under your mattress for the night. It will give your glove a nice shape, and make it close naturally.
