Will a size 40 baseball jersey be too big for a girl who is 5’2 almost 5’3?

This is the smallest a custom MLB jersey comes in, and no stores nearby have the authentic ones for me to compare sizes. I’ve heard they run bigger/smaller than the replicas they carry at local champs sports etc so it would do me no good. It’s for a friend, so I have no idea about what size she’d normally wear.

I’m 5’2 and I have issues with jersey sizes since they tend to run long on me.
Size 40 may still be too big for her but some girls like wearing them big. I found some links to jersey sizing charts. I hope they help you decide what to do. You may just have to get it in 40 since that’s the smallest customizable one.
