Should they ban people from using cell phones at live sporting events to get on TV.?
I’m tired of watching live baseball games and having some bozo waving at the camera can you see me! this has to stop and also people that sit near you and talk on there phones, leave you phone at home kinda like going to the movies!
It’s really a person’s free will, and games would lose their fun if you don’t have some bozo waving at the camera.
Cell phones, like at movies, should be banned in the park, but outside where the vendors are should be fine.
Bring it to your stadium’s president attention, and for now try looking for an empty seat next to just a regular clown, not bozo.

Safe At Home: Confessions Of A Baseball Fanatic $15.49 Alyssa Milano loves baseball. Currently she maintains a blog on MLB.com that is devoted to the game and she has done on field game commentary for TBS. An avid Dodgers fan, she has been a serious student of the game for her entire life.Through all the craziness of growing up a child star and making hit TV shows like Whos the Boss and Charmed, baseball has been her one constant. Her blog came about because last year she began to spread her love of the game from her living room to the public as she partnered with Major League Baseball to design a successful line of official MLB clothing for women. She started writing the blog as part of the promotion for the clothes and soon it was one of the most popular features on the site. Now Alyssa takes her passion for our national pastime to the page in her first ever book. Written to share her love of the game with everyone from diehard fanatics to the most casual followers, Alyssa tells the story of how baseball has shaped her life, explaining why she loves the game and why you should too. Combining stories from baseball history with stories from her own life, Alyssa offers personal anecdotes to delight even passing fans of the game, meditating on what it means to devote yourself to the greatest sport on earth. Covering everything from the subtleties of the rules to how baseball can recover the recent steroid scandals, Alyssa crafts a discussion that is both timeless and immediate, using fun and entertaining prose to extend her love of the game to each and every reader regardless of gender. Bringing an intelligent, witty, and humorously self-deprecating female voice to the male dominated world of baseball writing, Alyssa offers a womans perspective into why baseball is and forever will be Americas game. The end result is a unique and unexpected book that falls somewhere between a memoir, a manifesto, and a love letter to baseball. |

Live From New York: An Uncensored History Of Saturday Night Live $9.99 WHEN A YOUNG WRITER named Lorne Michaels talked NBC executives into taking a chance on a new weekend late-night comedy series nobody really knew what to expect-not even Michaels. But Saturday Night Live launched in 1975 and still thriving today would change the face of television. It introduced brash new stars with names like Belushi Radner Chase and Murray; trashed taboos that had inhibited TV for decades; and had such an impact on American life laughter and politics that even presidents of the United States had to take notice. Now Pulitzer Prize-winner Tom Shales and bestselling author James Andrew Miller bring together stars writers guest hosts contributors and craftsmen for the first-ever oral history of Saturday Night Live from 1974 when it was just an idea through 2002 when it has long since become an institution. In their own words dozens of personalities recall the backstage stories behind-the-scenes gossip feuds foibles drugs sex struggles and calamities including personal details never before revealed. Shales and Miller have interviewed a galaxy of stars including Mike Myers Chris Rock Bill Murray Tom Hanks Adam Sandler Chevy Chase Will Ferrell Dan Aykroyd Steve Martin Jon Lovitz Jane Curtin Billy Crystal Martin Short Dana Carvey Tina Fey Jimmy Fallon Chris Kattan Julia Louis-Dreyfus Garrett Morris Molly Shannon Damon Wayans Chris Elliott Julia Sweeney Norm Macdonald and Paul Simon-plus writers like Al Franken Conan O’Brien Larry David Rosie Shuster Jack Handey Robert Smigel Don Novello and others who got their big breaks as part of the SNL team. The Coneheads the Blues Brothers Buck-wheat Wayne and Garth Hans and Franz the Cheerleaders Todd DiLaMuca and Lisa Loopner "Cheeseburger cheeseburger " Mango the Church Lady Ed Grimley-they’re all here. And for every fabulous character on-screen there was an outrageous maverick misfit or rebel behind the scenes. Live from New York does what no other book about the show has ever done: It lets the people who were there tell the story in their own words blunt and loving and uncensored. |

To Live and Die in L.A. Special Edition $9.76 Rated: RSynopsis: This gritty, stylish thriller, made in 1985, did for Los Angeles what Miami Vice did for that outwardly glamorous and appealing metropolis: exposed its corrupt and repellent underside. At the time of its theatrical release, To Live and Die? set a new benchmark for urban-cop dramas; many critics were appalled by its graphic language, the brutality of its violent action scenes, and its underlying nihilism. But they generally liked William Petersen — today the star of CSI, TV’s top drama, but then just establishing himself as an edgy leading man — who portrays a dogged Secret Service agent obsessed with nailing the ruthless counterfeiter (Willem Dafoe, in his best role up to that time) responsible for killing his partner. Director William Friedkin rather self-consciously imposed upon the film a peculiar, hyper-realistic style that has proven highly influential. His characters often behave unbelievably, even foolishly, but their actions seem perfectly reasonable and acceptable within the context of the story. A well-staged, brilliantly edited car chase harkens back to Friedkin’s French Connection, and that’s just one of the action highlights in this fast-paced two hours. Although To Live and Die? remains firmly rooted in its ?80s time frame (an air reinforced by the Wang Chung score), it offers a driving pace and visceral impact that audiences have come to expect from violent urban melodramas. William Friedkin’s crime thriller, based on a book by U.S. Secret Service agent Gerald Petievich, concerns an arrogant Secret Service official who wants to get his man at any price. Willem Dafoe plays Eric Masters, an ultra-smooth counterfeiter who has managed to sidestep the police for years. He is so up-front about his dealings, in fact, that when some undercover agents try to make a deal with him at his health club, Eric tells them, “I’ve been coming to this gym three times a week for five years. I’m an easy guy to find. People know they can trust me.” But when young and eager Secret Service agent Richard Chance (William L. Petersen) finds out that his partner has been cold-bloodedly murdered by Eric, he trains his relentlessness upon capturing Eric — whether it means robbery, murder, or exploiting his friends and associates. As Chance erases the dividing line between good and evil, he drags his new partner John Vukovich (John Pankow) and Ruth Lanier (Darlanne Fluegel), an ex-con, down into the maelstrom with him. What I Learned When I Almost Died: How a Maniac TV Producer Put Down His BlackBerry and Started to Live His Life $13.99 What do you learn when your brain goes pop? Chris Licht had always been ambitious. When he was only nine years old, he tracked down an NBC correspondent while on vacation to solicit advice for a career in television. At eleven, he began filming himself as he delivered the news. And by the time he was thirty-five, he landed his dream job: a fast-paced, demanding spot at the helm of MSNBCs Morning Joe one of the most popular shows on cable TV. He had become a real-life Jerry Maguire: hard-charging, obsessively competitive, and willing to sacrifice anything to get it done. He felt invincible. Then one day Chris heard a pop in his head, followed by a whoosh of blood and crippling pain. Doctors at the ER said he had suffered a near-deadly brain hemorrhage. Chriss life had almost been cut short, and he had eight long days in a hospital bed to think about it. What I Learned When I Almost Died tells the story of what happened next. |

They’ll Never Put That On The Air: The New Age Of Tv Comedy $11.59 In the 1950s Lucille Ball couldn’t even say the word "pregnant" on TV. But by the 1990s Carrie Bradshaw and her posse could say everything there is to say about sex-and demonstrate most of it. How have broadcast standards changed from the dawn of television till today? Through interviews with the creators of landmark shows author Allan Neuwirth traces that history revealing how the upheaval of the 1960s led to edgier fare such as The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour ; how counterculture baby boomers made Saturday Night Live -style satire possible; how stand-up comedians changed the sitcom landscape; how UPN and the WB raised eyebrows with comedies aimed at minorities; and much more. In this age of FCC crackdowns They’ll Never Put That on the Air is as timely as it is entertaining and informative. |
