I need help writing a BaseBall scene.?

Writing a baseball scene and I need some slang terms for both a “Bat Boy”, and “Grounds Keeper.” Is there any funny slang that describe these jobs?
Also if you know what they call the guy who does the warm up pitching for the hitters

The guy that throws the baseballs for the hitters is either the pitching coach or the batting coach

There really isn’t any official slang fopr the bat boy, although I have heard the term “Lumber Lad” flung about.

Samw with the groundskeeper, although some are now being called Willie (for Groundskeeper Willie from the Simpsons”

Since there is a void, make something up

On Toby's Terms

On Toby’s Terms

$10.19

When Charmaine and her husband adopted Toby a five-year-old Chesapeake Bay retriever they figured he might need some adjusting time but they certainly didn’t count on what he’d do in the meantime. Soon after he entered their lives and home Toby proved to be a holy terror who routinely opened and emptied the hall closet turned on water taps pulled and ate things from the bookshelves sat for hours on end in the sink and spent his days rampaging through the house. Oddest of all was his penchant for locking himself in the bathroom and then pushing the lid of the toilet off the tank smashing it to pieces. After a particularly disastrous encounter with the knife-block in the kitchen-and when the couple discovered Toby’s bloody paw prints on the phone-they decided Toby needed professional help. Little did they know what they would discover about this dog. On Toby’s Terms is an endearing story of a beguiling creature who teaches his owners that despite their trying to teach him how to be the dog they want he is the one to lay out the terms of being the dog he needs to be. This insight would change their lives forever.

Straight From The Fridge, Dad: A Dictionary Of Hipster Slang

Straight From The Fridge, Dad: A Dictionary Of Hipster Slang

$9.89

Righteous jive for all you weedheads, moochers, b-girls, gassers, bandrats, triggermen, grifters, snowbirds, and long-gone daddies. Much of the slang popularly associated with the hippie generation of the 1960s actually dates back to before World War II, hijacked in the main from jazz and blues street expressions, mostly relating to drugs, sex, and drinking. Why talk when you can beat your chops, why eat when you can line your flue, and why snore when you can call some hogs? You’re not drunk-you’re just plumb full of stagger juice, and your skin isn’t pasty, it’s just caf? sunburn. Need a black coffee? That’s a shot of java, nix on the moo juice. Containing thousands of examples of hipster slang drawn from pulp novels, classic noir and exploitation films, blues, country, and rock ‘n’ roll lyrics, and other related sources from the 1920s to the 1960s, Straight from the Fridge, Dad is the perfect guide for all hep cats and kittens. Think of it as a sort of Thirty Days to a More Powerful Vocabulary for the beret-wearing, bongo-banging set. Solid, Jackson. From the Trade Paperback edition.

Navigating government documents is a task that requires considerable knowledge of specialized terms and acronyms. This required knowledge nearly amounts to knowing a completely different language. Would you be able to make sense of a document that described how the COTR reports to the CO regarding compliance with FAR GPRA SARA and FASA? (This is a common procedure in government contracting.) Would you have any clue what was being referred to if you came across MIL-STD-129P? (It is the new standard for Military Shipping Label Requirements.) The sheer number of such terms makes mastering them nearly impossible. But now these terms and their definitions are within reach. A Guide to Federal Terms and Acronyms presents a glossary of key definitions used by the Federal Government. This reference guide is comprehensive covering the most common terms acronyms and abbreviations used by each major Federal Government agency. And it is also accessible organized in a logical easy-to-use format. In men like Traveler and Alcazar we find the beating heart and struggling soul of baseball…" -Jeff MacGregor Sports Illustrated; author of Sunday Money Howie Traveler never made it as a player-his one major league hit and .091 batting average attest to that. He was cursed with that worst of professional maladies the ill fortune of almost. Now after years of struggling up the coaching ladder Howie’s finally been given his shot: as manager of the Cleveland Indians. But America’s pastime has changed. Whether Howie can spot a small flaw in a batter’s swing won’t matter if he can’t manage his superstar outfielder Jay Alcazar a slugger with enormous talent (and an ego to match). No crisis on the field fazes Jay and no woman off the field ever rejects him. But one night at the hotel Howie sees something at Jay’s door he wishes he hadn’t…and it leaves Howie with an impossible choice. From six-time National Sportswriter of the Year and NPR commentator Frank Deford comes a richly detailed page-turning tale that takes you deep into America’s game. From the dugouts to the tabloid scandals from the lights of the field to the glare of the media The Entitled is the great novel of baseball’s modern era. "The Entitled is a baseball masterpiece like The Natural and Field of Dreams; the difference is the plot and the characters depict the true inside world of baseball. Frank Deford writes like he played in the majors for ten years. If you have a passion for baseball this is a must read." -Mike Schmidt Baseball Hall of Fame "Frank Deford is not just an immensely talented sportswriter he’s an immensely talented American writer. The Entitled is his wise and pleasurable portrait of a Willy Loman-like baseball manager finally getting his chance in the Bigs late in his career." -David Halberstam "Engrossing…Readers are exposed to a richly textured understanding of baseball and no less of estrangement ambition mendacity and the search for one’s destiny-notwithstanding the cost in human or financial terms." -Library Journal "I loved The Entitled and could not put it down. It was a great read from start to finish with characters that reminded me of the many people I’ve known and played with-pure baseball." ––Lou Piniella Manager Chicago Cubs " The Entitled contains all of the keen insider knowledge one expects of America’s premier sports journalist. It also displays Frank Deford’s gifts for dialogue and intricate plotting and his poignant grasp of character. It proves once again that Deford can play at the highest level in any league." -Michael Mewshaw author of Year of the Gun "Deford scores another hit with this novel of athletes behaving badly…tackles timely and provocative issues without flinching." -Publishers Weekly In men like Traveler and Alcazar we find the beating heart and struggling soul of baseball…" -Jeff MacGregor Sports Illustrated; author of Sunday Money
