Who do you think is the most underrated contact hitter of all time? Im going to go with Rogers Hornsby. Hornsby may have been the greatest right handed hitter of all time. Im sure many of you scoffed after reading that sentence. But take a look at some of his numbers: hit over .400 in a season three times, hit .424 in 1924, had a career batting average of .358 which ranks second all time, was one of only two layers to win the triple crown twice, and lead the league in batting average for six straight seasons, in which he never batted lower than .370. And many do not even consider him the best second baseman in baseball history! How can you argue with those numbers?
