Is Atlanta good place to live?

I lived in the UK at moment and I have never been to Atlanta but I have been to SFO and I really liked SFO.

Atlanta is a nice place to live. I live in a suburb South of Atlanta and it is very nice. The major differences between the 2 cities are weather and home prices. SFO prices are a little higher than ATL. I have never lived in SFO, so, I don’t want to say how the people are there. Atlanta however, has some very nice southern folks here. Most of them are very polite and place family and religion before anything else.

The area right around Turner Field is not the best area to live (crime, traffic, etc), so you may want to look at a surrounding area. The weather here is hot in the summer and cold in the winter…they call it HOTlanta (which I can’t stand…lol).

With Atlanta being home to some large companies, including Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and CNN, I don’t believe that you would have too hard of a time finding work. Don’t know about the casinos though – they have casinos a few hours north at Cherokee (N. Carolina I believe).

My suggestion is that before you make a big jump from the UK, you come and visit our city to see if it fits your lifestyle. Good Luck to you !

After seeing your additional post about people being of color, the answer is yes. Atlanta has a wide diversity of people from all over the world (Black, white, Asian, Mexican, Hatian, Cuban, etc.). I believe though that you would see the same thing in any major city.
