What are some good exercises/drills for a softball catcher?

Im a 14 year old girl and i am playing traveling softball and they don’t work at all with me and catching and i really want to improve. I don’t own my own catching gear i don’t really have someone to work with and my legs are pretty strong so i don’t want all drills for my legs. So plz help me!!

If you have a brother or a dad, try to work with them and they should help u out

Get them to throw the ball in the dirt and practice stopping those baseballs in the dirt
also see if there are any batting cages that allow u to catch baseballs iv done that before

Mercadante begins with stretching and flexibility – two big parts of developing good catchers. Drills for stretching hip flexors are catching specific that completely prepare catchers. Mercadante then presents his receiving philosophy for catchers. In receiving Mercadante covers the elements of a good foundation, balance and target. Drills for receiving, including the bare hand drill, ball-in-hand drill, quarter turn and side-to-side drills, are illustrated.
